Welcome! My name is Ali and I am so happy you have come for a visit! I am very passionate about the role music plays in the lives of all humans, but in particular the amazing benefits it has in the lives of our young people. I desire to see every child have an opportunity to develop the innate musical ability within, or at the very least to have their lives uplifted and enriched. Music should be a joyful encounter experienced with the whole body and mind. It brings life and hope, it brings energy and joy as well as much needed calm and peace in a busy, crazy world.
Music was my first language. I grew up in a family of professional musicians and
teachers. My childhood was spent surrounded by and involved in my parents’ musical endeavours - teaching, performing, composing, recording, producing and publishing. Not to mention the everyday involvement in music myself. Full immersion! I started teaching piano at 16 and at age 17, I was invited to become a trained Forte Music School teacher which was definitely a highlight of my career and an amazing training ground.

I went on to run my own successful private business teaching piano, guitar, vocals and Kindermusik and was recruited as the music teacher at a primary school where I created and ran the music program for 4 years. Getting married and having three homeschooled children meant my professional work in the music arena took a back seat for a season, but I am back and with a whole range of new exciting offerings.
With 27 years of experience in the music business, I am proud to bring you some very new and exciting creations of mine in the way of online courses that can be done at your own pace as well as make it easier for students to connect and learn with me one on one. There will be some live and online workshops from time to time and many other wonderful elements to be enjoyed. I hope something I have to offer brings you joy!

I was a student who struggled to see the rainbow for the rain. I had every passion and desire to excel at my craft with little focus or motivation to put in the practice to get there. Ali recognised this and encouraged me to find my strengths and passions, pushing me to be the best musician possible whilst bearing witness to the traits that made me, me.
