PRIVATE LESSONS POLICY
Fees:

Lessons are $45/half hour

3rd student in a family cost is $40/half hour. No other discounts apply.

Payment in full Week 1: 1 student - $30 discount, 2 students $25 discount each.

If paying in 2 instalments - $20 discount applies to total fee.

Commitment is required for a minimum of one term at a time (10 weeks)

Fees need to be paid in full by week 1, or in 2 instalments in Week 1 and Week 4

Direct deposit & cash accepted. Please specify if you require an invoice.

Fortnightly lessons are not offered

Trial Lessons are not offered, however a free 15 minute chat in person or on video chat is offered to get to know one another and talk goals and needs.

Cancellations/Illness:

Four weeks notice is to be given for cancellation of lessons, where possible.

No refunds will be made for a student's absence. There is no obligation on the
part of the teacher to make up lessons missed by the student. However, if
there is a mutually available lesson time, it may be offered.

Lessons missed due to teacher's absence can be made up at a mutually
convenient time or a credit will be given for the next term.

Students are obliged to inform the teacher at least by 9am that day if unable
to attend a lesson. In cases of genuine illness a lesson may be made up at the discretion and availability of the teacher.

Public & School Holidays

Most public holidays lessons will go ahead as usual, unless otherwise notified.

Many students like to continue lessons over holidays. Payments can be made week to week in these cases

Lessons & Practice

Progress in learning a musical instrument requires consistent practice. 5-7 days practice each week is expected from students. Young students will need encouragement and support from parents, and you may be required to sit with them as they practice until they can do it effectively on their own, or with you hanging around in the background.
